Hi, Welcome

I'm the self-taught bead artist behind Silk Canyon Beadwork. When I first began, I made some truly questionable things—but I was completely captivated by the process, so I kept going. I kept learning, experimenting, pulling things apart, and beginning again. Somewhere along the way, beadwork became a language of its own for me and a way to express my deep love of colour.

NATURE IS MY GUIDE. I draw inspiration from wildflowers, mountains, rivers, stone, sky, and the unexpected colour combinations found in the natural world. Each piece is woven slowly by hand, bead by bead, and no two are ever the same.

When I sit down to create, I rarely know what I'm going to make. I simply begin weaving and allow the colours and beads to lead me. Slowly, the piece reveals itself, taking on a direction and form of its own.

What brings me the greatest joy is watching a piece find its person. That is when it truly comes to life—taking on a beauty, presence, and unique magic through the person wearing it.
